Ardbeg Uigeadail

The name and the bottle label refer to the legendary Celtic roots of the settlement on the island of Islay. The whiskey itself draws its water from a small source that only the Ardbeg whiskey is reserved. There is also the name Uigeadail his roots.

It means "Mystical City" and is the ancient name of this same source at the Ardbeg distillery. The "water of life" was for the people of the previous year, thousands of elementary importance. Warlike sailors and fishermen, shepherds and monks: they all looked into the source of a very ancient gift of fate, and gave him a cult status.

ARDBEG Uigeadail preserves this heritage in each bottle. Uigeadail whose age is marketed as a sophisticated single malt lovers who are looking for new taste experiences and enrich its collection with a specialty from the traditional Ardbeg distillery want

Color: bright gold.

nose: Full-bodied, sweet and smoky - this single malt is both intense as well rounded flavor. The undiluted nose has an amazing symphony of chocolate caramels and barley sugar in combination with dates, raisins, sherry and smok
y notes, followed by linseed oil and a hint of leather.
With open water, the sweetness of malted honey changed to increasingly campaigned currants with floral, reminiscent of a Christmas cake in the oven. The intensity of smoky sweetness is increasing and the aroma of a fully baked fruit pudding unfolds.

flavor: sweet, full bodied, with a fascinating balance between the sweet, savory and smoky flavors. The mouth is oily, tough and filled with a remarkably smooth, silky effect.

The flavor is initially sweet as a Christmas cake, which is coated with molasses, followed by notes honigmarinierter, smoky foods and olives with a hint of clove and wild mint.

Finish: Long, both sweet and dry with honey, molasses and smoky with a hint of anise.
