The name and the bottle label refer to the legendary Celtic roots of the settlement on the island of Islay. The whiskey itself draws its water from a small source that only the Ardbeg whiskey is reserved. There is also the name Uigeadail his roots.
It means "Mystical City" and is the ancient name of this same source at the Ardbeg distillery.
The "water of life" was for the people of the previous year, thousands of elementary importance. Warlike sailors and fishermen, shepherds and monks: they all looked into the source of a very ancient gift of fate, and gave him a cult status.
